wouldnt it have been just as easy to tell him the answer as it was telling him to read the manual?

You fill your tires to what pressure you want then hit the reset button and you are good to go
    don't forget the spare

If some of you guys do not want to be here and post at least save the bs for another board

Probably, but too often on forums people expect to be spoon fed information that may be readily available before looking themselves.

It would likely need to be reset when rotating tires and stuff like that so it doesn't think a tire is in a location that it's not.

It cant identify locations of tires. Just weather or not 1 is out of range with psi.

if in any case you put bigger tires, the tire pressure must me reset depending on the size of the tire. i think, must be on the manual though....

Gotcha, thanks for clarification. Wasn't sure how ours worked. The system on the Impala SS I had location based and showed you the PSI of all the tires. Which was nice, but when it came to reset it due to a rotation it was a pain in the ass resetting it you had to go around in a certain order to each tire and let out or put in a bit of air til it registered what tire it was.

Yeah....Many vehicles have the ability to identify which tire.....The Toyota systems are inexpensive ones.

The reset button is to reset the already set pressure values it monitors. For example, If you normally run 35 psi in your tires, and you switch to a different set, and are going to run 30 psi, you reset the sensor so it doesnt trigger the air psi warning light. OR, if off roading, and you air down your tires, you can reset the light so its not iluminated while your off roading.
