I wouldn't say it went well... there was much cursing and more than a couple trips to the store but all in all the bitch is done and I dint have to worry until I do my cv's again

any tips?

i was thinking of drifting the old CB off with a big blunt punch and a hammer from the back.

big c clamps should seat the Ujoints rather smoothly but knocking the corroded old ones out might get interesting

 

A punch may work but we got it done with a socket and a 2jaw puller

That's how we snapped the c clamp hammer and socket worked seating the ujoints

 

thats why i like the c clamps that are big enough to crush someone's head lol

 

Make sure to have a bfh or dead blow, we tried using a c clamp to press out and broke the damn thing. Honestly the old school way of using a socket as your punch worked wonders. Well that and a shit ton of pb blaster sitting for 30 min. Have some 2x4 ready to take the brunt of the beating though and a dremmel with a grinding wheel will help if you mar any part of the yolk.
