Anyone have a rattle in drivers side door? Sounds like a piece of ice got stuck in there somehow...but when it warms up, its still there...

    Drives me crazy...

    I have three.

1.) The small section that contains the window / door lock switch rattles.

2.) When the window is partway down the glass rattles against the door.

3.) My exterior rear view mirror rattles. Taking the black sail (or triangle piece) off the inside of the door and re tightening the nuts usually helps for a couple of days - but the rattle returns.

I have a drivers side rattle too. Mine is exactly ear level and it makes me nuts.

I tore the dot apart one day and I think it's the seatbelt adjustment button. The button is plastic loose fitted to a metal track. Unfortunatly, I couldn't find a reasonable fix. I have pics too, but can't post them at this moment.

If this sounds like the rattle you have, I'll post pics later of what I think it is. In the mean time just try wiggling the seat belt adustment and see if it stops for awhile.

    Hope this helps.

That is likely. A few years back there were multiple posts regarding the seat assembly assembly rattling inside the panels.

I wish I wasn't so old!!! In my teens I would have never heard any rattle - my music would have drowned out most anything.

I notice that the back seat belts sometimes rattle on the plastic panel, but now I've been noticing a rattle from the front passenger door for the past month or so.... It's not always there, but it's driving me nuts.

I suspect the seatbelt height adjustment too. Waiting for someone to post the mod for that too.

I've got a rattle somewhere above the speaker in the door, just on the driver's side. I only hear it buzz when the bass hits at certain frequencies. I'll wait for a few months and take it in and have any other issues fixed as a group.

    I just got it!
Okay so we've established there's a rattle from the seat belt height adjustment assembly. Who has fixed this, and what was your method? I can't think of a quick easy way to fix this...

This started happening to me a few days ago... I can't find where it is coming from. Gonna check the seatbelt thingy to see if that is what's making the noise.

I don't have a fix for the seatbelt rattle. I thought of just coating everything in grease, but it would probably drip onto the seatbelt and that would suck.

It's a really hard spot to work with. It's just plastic on plastic with little options of a fix. Plus, it has to remain moble to function. Maybe a small piece of foam between the adjustment and the door panel? IDK. I stared at it for quite some time determined to fix it... Then bowed my head in defeat and put it back together.

Got the Driver Door Rattle as well. I haven't spent any time messing with it. Interested to see how this thread turns out.

Mine turned out to be 2 things. First one was Ice in the mirror. When i found that one, I found one of the screws that hold on the mirror was loose and rattling around. I tightened that up and it went away. I think mine was mostly Ice.

Now i have the glove box/air bag rattle in the passenger side dash. I can just lay my hand on the top of the dash and it goes away. But its annoying as hell. Guessing a screw is loose in there too.
