Will there ever be a 3rd gen regular cab?

That's not a fact. It's like, your opinion, man. But there was one time that my single cab truck wasn't up to the task. When I xeriscaped my back yard I needed 7 cubic yards of gravel. I had to pay $70 to have a dump truck deliver it. Slightly cheaper than getting a bigger truck and becoming the bank's new bitch. Regular cabzz fo' life, foo!

Regular cab , 8' bed and solid front axle. My vote. While we're at it, let's add the Diesel engine from a Hilux.

 

Could probably take a DCLB frame, throw a regular cab on it, then flat bed it.

 

Partial opinion, partial fact, I stated that at some point you would question it, and you did, you had to get that dump truck cause your truck wasn't up to the task. Sass master over here. And unfortunately I only had one chance to see it in person and didn't take a pic, this was years ago and he has sinced passed, dont know where the car/truck is now. It was though the first thing I thought of stepping into the trd dc 3rd gen at my local dealer for a test drive. I can tell you, leaf springs do not belong on a mustang at all, the ride quality was horrendous.

The second one does seem like a fair price based on that photo. I would bet you someone looking to get a third gen that hasn't owned in the past would actually pay that for the first photo, the epitome of stealership.

 

It's more that I don't encounter it. That 4 times a year I do my pickup and dropoff in about 2 hours so not like it is there for days, nor would a double cab hold all the boxes so it isn't like that's the fix

 

8 ft bed kills the idea of short wheel base. I think the 5.7 v8 with a supercharger might be a little bit funer

 

A Tacoma Double Cab with a 6-foot box, on the other hand, needs to achieve just 26.4 mpg in 2017 and 35.5 mpg by 2025.

Not so sure they hit the 26 mark, what they going to attempt to hit the 35 mpg?

 

Th SR AC utility package with rear seat delete appears to be what they have attacked that market segment with.

 

Probably go even smaller displacement with even more gears

 

ya, I don't think this 6 speed tranny is around for long, I expect to see a 10 speed sooner rather than later.

My little truck wasn't up to the task because 7 cubic yards of gravel weighs 28,000 lbs. If you can carry 28,000 lbs. of gravel in your 07 Tacoma PreRunner DCSB Factory LSD, please provide photos in order to prove that regular cab owners made terrible choices in life.
