    Anyone who talks about "tuning" the truck is obviously full of shit. You can't custom tune a tacoma, and plug and play chips are a big joke. People who believe that, also are dumb enough to think a K&N air filter increases HP.
    I've run a Volant intake for over 2 years and have NEVER had any MAF problems.
    running the MAF cal and a unichip makes no sense at all and is the cause of OP's problems. All they do is try and trick the sensors to manipulate timing and the fuel trim in a certain RPM range, but throws off the ECU within other parameters.
    Almost every mod the OP has done, has been proven to NOT gain any performance and there are plenty of threads saying so, if you look.

    I still don't understand why the OP uses a unichip AND the MAF cal, if the URD MAF cal lets you "custom tune"?

    Don't forget about Jimmy's truck. It was a 2010 if I recall, can't cause I'm constipated, and was Toon's using a pro EFI 48.

    What you guys are referring to, is a far cry from what the OP has in this thread. The Volant does not throw MAF faults, it"s a combination of the other stuff OP has done causing his CEL.

    '09. Tuned using batch fire. Made ~400whp and ~450wtq on a Mustang Dyno.

    Can tune with with either. Unichip usually comes with a preloaded map. He has posted another thread about his "why's " with the Unichip. Lots of info in there.

    Volant has a history since the 2nd gen, intakes, of making the truck run extra rich. Enough to throw off the fuel trims and set a CEL. URD created preloaded maps specifically for the MAF-CAL, to correct this issue.

    I was running this exact setup for over a year and not a single CEL due to the intake. I swapped out the scoop for a snorkel and capped the hole for the scoop. Currently still running the volant box with the airflow snorkel. Still no issues with CEL, but it would appear my fuel trims are all over the place watching my ultraguage. I have MAF cal, but not installed yet. I need in install it so I can load a tune that works with my mods. Should have bought the ucon when I had a chance.

    Volant has had issues for yrs, search back if u wanna see it.
    Somehow not erryone ran into the cel for some reason.
    Gadget has a.... ready for it?

    Map for the volant to load on the maf calibrator.

    Volant HAD issues and changed the tube to relocate the MAF sensor to fix the problem. I know that URD offers different MAF cal loads, it's in the description. Many have put on the Volant since the new tube and have had no CEL. I guess if you really want to try and optimize the engine and have money to burn, have at it. But for the average person, it's a waste of money for little gain. and even then, custom tuning is usually a give and take to get the best results within a specific range of the powerband.
