You take off those metal support cables from the bed with a torx wrench. Then you pull the tailgate halfway down, and then pull up on the right side. It's a quick release. Sigh.

I think all you'll have to do for the skin is remove all the torx screws. Simple.

What @Tacoridge said, just remove the Torx screws and you are done. Did it a while ago for the Pop&Lock.

I don't think it matters either way unless you're hauling things regularly. I'd probably leave the plastic piece off so you can actually see the mod.

The more retail space you take up on the parts shelf, the less of the wife's "craft supplies" will infiltrate your holy man cave.

Change of plans. Dude is gonna use his tractor to put it on my truck so I don't need to bring a friend. PM your friend's address and I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I'm not picking up an unmarked package that smells reminiscent of Willy Nelson's tour bus.

Na, it's actually a winch I bought up there. Got it dirt cheap and couldn't pass it up.

He is living in Aledo, west of Ft. Worth. If you travel east, it will most likely be far out of your way.

Nah, it actually works out because I can just take 281 all the way up there and avoid the clusterfuck that is I-35 on the way up.
