I think we're going to take a ride out in the morning. I'm in an MGM with a FWC Popup Camper.

Well I got a bad start and was in the back 1/3 of the pack, was making my way toward the front and when I was in about 4th place OA my Timing chain slipped a tooth and bike stalled wouldnt restart, and it was only 15 miles into a 100mi race!
So is what it is, just a mechanical. I heard the chain slapping when I started it earlier in the week, but had a full plate of work to do on customers trucks, and thought it would make it though the race! So much for thinking!

Thanks, I was trying my best impression of a fast guy, had a few people fooled, haha. But I'll take a mechanical over an injury any day. I knew that my timing chain had a lot of hard hours and I neglected to replace it within a reasonable amount of use so it was totally avoidable and my own fault, damn kids!

I think I'm about to bite the bullet on a new taco. Looking at a sr 4x4 dcsb 3.5L. The best quote so far is 30,900 from costco and I have been trying to ask around see if any dealers can beat it. Can anyone recommend a dealer?

30.9 sounds pretty good for a dcsb 4x4

Haha, no. There was a hill about 25 feet tall, that they considered a "hill". In my other District37 series a hill is basically the Matterhorn with nothing but boulders and certain injury if you fall, lol.

Signed and I take delivery tomorrow on sr 4x4 dcsb :) question because I'm a 4x4 newbie.
I'm planning to head up to big bear and was planning to pick up some snow cables. The dealer had me.sign a paper saying not to use chains on the 4x4
    my question
    1. can I use cables
    2. Which do you recommend
    3. Do I really need them with 4x4?

The dealer tried to nickel and dime me with d-ring costs and locks lol. But was able to negotiate having those if they did 50% off all accessories except tonneau and it worked :)

    20170301_145805.jpg
Just noticed that's the sr5 pic. I didn't take a pic of the Sr 4x4 But accessories were trd exhaust (I didn't want) floor mats I could live with, tonneau was going to buy diamondbak but this works. But overall I'm happy with the outcome going to stop my a credit union to see if I can get my financing down to 1to 1.9% got 2.9 from toyota

You can't run chains up front, you can on the rear.
