You answered your own question when you said YOU have a first world problem. Now its up to YOU to solve it. I know that YOU knew before YOU posted this YOU were going to get different answers. Now YOU need to solve it by YOURSELF.

Just curious if both trucks drive the same....i.e. transmission, rear end issues, how it rides or anything else?

No they don't drive the same. I haven't had any issues with mine. And I just got in this one, so I don't know. But it drives very good, seams to have a bit more pep off the line than mine, like its geared lower or something, and the ride is real good. I like the way mine rides, but this one is better. More solid, but at the same time smoother. This one also feels like it is a bit tighter cornering. Takes bumps better, although Im sure 5100s will fix a lot of that.

My diesel Hilux has a 2.4 liter non-Turbo motor. It may be slow as balls but the motor is indestructible 28 years later. No leaks and it runs smooth! Those Land Cruiser 70 series are pretty sweet too!

why the odometer? Mine has less miles.
And what about the locker , the crawl control, and terrain control?
Mostly want the locker, but if I can have the other stuff, why not?

I guess you didn't take my previous post very seriously. You know that no matter whats said in here on your question is not going to sway you one way or the other, only you know the answer. If I say trade up and the other guy says keep your truck who are you going to listen to.

What does the check book say ? And or the Chief Financial officer? You could Approach the dealer ship which provided the rental if they are the same ones who are repairing your truck and see what they think of a swap I am sure there will be some more money coming out of your pocket to do so? Now here is where it gets interesting and may involve some legal stuff. If your state allows for "diminished value claims" from damage not your fault you get the dealer ship to value yours now that it has had repairs and what would have been before the damage. Contact Safellite and ask them to add the amount of diminished value to your check book or what have you. Then make the deal. They balk you might be able to work through your insurance company to get them involved and they contact Safellite for the diminished value as stated by the dealer ship. Either way the other truck is a different level IE off road vs sport your check book is not likely to come away unscathed. Only you know once you get the number if you want the "rental" enough to take the hit at least it is not later in your loan contract at this point it probably won't add more then 3 months more of paying.
