Mbrp exhaust. Cold air intake. A crap load of high end audio waiting to go in. Lift, tires, skidplates coming in the next month.
Took me over 50 days to get my 2016 built and delivered. Had dealers do search for Quicksand 4 door trd off road and couldn't find one under 1500 miles away. I never got a chance to even test drive a manual until 1 week before mine arrived and when I did it was a sport. I was freaking out I about bent the stick trying to overcome the reverse detent and killed it twice trying to leave on a hill. A 3.5 with no bottom end combined with high rear end gears sucks in my opinion. Thank god after 54 days my trd offroad arrived and the tranny was buttery smooth and the 4:30 gears made all the difference. Sure wish a dealer in the st.louis area had a manual to test before I ordered one but the gamble paid off. 26k miles later I'm loving grabbing gears during my 120 mile daily commute.

The Sport and Off-road with the 6MT both have the same final drive ratio...

Hugh? I thought for sure the trd off road had 4:30s and the others had something in the 3s. Oh well:cheers: either way we need more manuals in the Midwest

By the by...first long haul in the tacoma measured 292 kms @ 9.9L/100kms which translates to just shy of 24 MPG US. That 6th gear is a versatile bitch...putters @ 55km/hr and sips at 110km/hr...I'm a happy guy

I get to drive the truck, knot have the truck drive me!

I would assume a derogatory comment about someone who doesn't utilize any of the features they paid for. I could be wrong I just joined this forum today

A quick check of his posting history will show that he's been here quite a while and what he's all about. No need to speculate on your first day.

    Hahaaaaahaahahhaaaaa....I hope you read that @PROseur .

Welcome aboard gentleman. When you see the @ and then a name it calls out a user of the forum and they get a new alert that you tagged them in a post. For example if you put @nevadabugle in a post I would get a notification that you tagged me in a post. @PROseur is just an old forum friend I was giving a hard time to.

Does anyone else have a hard time smoothly clutching 5th gear? Shifts into 5th fine, but I mean when I let out the clutch it never engages where I think it should. My leg might still be trained from my last german car?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I haven't read all 185 pages of this thread.

If im cruise shifting I just blip the throttle after letting it fall a bit from 4th and its usually pretty close to 5th gear RPMS

After reading the last few pages I'm glad I scooped mine up when I did! Didn't intend on quicksand as a color but I love it now!

Agree, 5th and 4th are super close so you need to either hold the gas steady when you shift, induce a rev hang, or blip the throttle. Otherwise you'll always fall a bit too short by the time you get the shifter from 4th to 5th and let out the clutch.

I just skip 5th. Unless I am climbing a pass or something. 5th gets no love in my truck.
