We are working to get to that point.
We will get there sooner or later. I need to get open orders under control completely to where lead times are under a week and prep suppliers so they are ready. Then we can talk group buy. Should be ready by the end of March or beginning of April.

Man, now I am tempted to cancel my order and wait for the GB....

Haha, no, it will just make things too complicated, plus I don't wanna wait any longer than I have to!!:goingcrazy::D

In regards to the op, it really does suck, I went through a similar situation with a vendor here a while ago, but I always try to put myself in their shoes. These guys have so many customers and they're generally a one man or very small team operation. Sometimes things just don't work out, but I try to remember that they started their business for the love of this community, and I hope that they haven't lost that passion.

Not to take away from the op's situation, as there is certainly an expectation when laying down your hard earned cash. Maybe not Amazon Prime, but an expectation none the less.

I've been on both sides, and it's hard. I'm rooting for you @zscott !

I appreciate your honest thought about the situation and helping to get the OP moving along. I wish more vendors were able to be as open about issues as you seem to be. I am hopeful that I will have funds ready in time for the GB.

After being part of the snorkel GB fuck up, I realize that lack of communication from the vendors or person who runs the GB is the problem. No one on here is unreasonable, just keep them informed as to what is going on.

Amen. Even a simple "guys I'm behind" comment on TW satisfies me, just letting you know they haven't forgotten and still do care. Doesn't always have to be an elaborate message but ANY COMMUNICATION helps.

I appreciate seeing feedback both good and bad, it keeps vendors on their toes, and other buyers and sellers can make a judgement call. Thank you for putting the note about being taken care of in the OP, it shows that the vendor/seller has done due diligence. Thank you @zscott for being open and communicating with the group

Sorry noxious19. Still a dick move. In addition to posting it three times over here at TW, you also posted this over in the FJ Cruiser Forums. You bought the rack for your FJ and you were pissed and acted like a little girl and posted over here at TW too! How many other forums did you post this in? It appropriately belonged in the FJ forum since it was for an FJ rack. And Zach answered you over there at the FJ Forum. Just some food for thought...he might be able to focus some time on rectifying his problems and getting product out the door...but instead he has to go chasing you all over the virtual world and respond to your multiple threads. You had a legitimate complaint and I am not knocking you for that, but I am knocking you for how you handled the part that was in your control.

    http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...insu-roof-rack-terrible-terrible-service.html

I have no problem that you don't remove your post, but if you were really a good guy, you would include a p.s. in your original post (e.g. post #1) that says Zach is taking care of it.....rather than someone having to read several pages of post just to find your message that he is taking care of it. It's the equivalent of a newspaper posting a front page article accusing someone of wrong doing....and several weeks later they print a retraction stating they were incorrect and including a sentence are two buried in some back section that no one ever sees.

Not saying he should have made multiple threads on multiple forums but he did edit his first post and put it in bold at the top

Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure if I overlooked that when I posted or he just changed it. I can tell you as of right now, there is nothing on post #1 over at the FJ Cruiser Forums....albeit that thread isnt nearly as long to see where he posted that Zach is taking care of it (post 8/9).

Again, shame that it takes a public flogging before a company takes action.

I completely disagree, a consumer has the right to complain if they are not taken care of, as I stated in a previous post, we need to give consideration for these small companies, but these small companies need to keep their customers informed. The issue is, it's a shame the OP had to resort to online forums to get a response from this company. I loudly express how Sony didn't stand behind thier product when ever I see someone looking to buy a Sony TV in a store. Does this make me an asshole, probably, but it is also my right to share my experience with this company. Disclaimer-I used to brag about the quality of ever Sony product I bought before the TV issue.

Regarding my comments in post #30...

After ordering my fairing Jan 21, with a lead time of 2 weeks...I got it last Friday. I was angry, frustrated, regretted the purchase...until I installed it.

Now I have "post-blown-lead-time-trauma AMNESIA"....kinda common around these parts. ;)

    Happy trails!

It's the nature of small business op's. When the owner has multiple balls in the air, sometimes the owner needs a bit of a reminder that a few of the balls are getting out there, and need to be brought back to earth.

I did wait 6 weeks for a replacement air-dam with 40" led cut-out - received today. Only criticism i can level, is one that i have for all USA businesses to avoid shipment by UPS to Canada, like the f'in Plague. It costs just as much to import it, as it cost to buy this replacement air-dam, due to bogus UPS "broker fees". Zach - frankly, you should know this one by now.

Is this on an FJ rack? Not sure I know what bracket you are talking about. Are you talking about the sides, front air dam or crossbars? I dont quite know what you are referring to when you say a "bracket" missing.

Damn it. Looking forward to the cap and truck rack. Haven't even ordered yet but is this going to happen regularly? Shit happens and lots of whiners in the world but those of us on the fence need to know we will be taken care of.
