MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
The best are the ones with all the usual restrictions, but that you can't have an actual word from the dictionary in.

Dude, you'd be surprised at some of the passwords we discover. Our Penetration Testers always have good stories.

keeping track/maintaining Logins is practically a whole job in itself. I currently have 76 logins to keep track of just for myself.... :annoyed:

I know the feeling. I don't think I have 76 logins but maybe around 40 or so.

If we get caught using password managers we get fired. I use one personally but can't for work.

Do you still have another device, like your phone or something, that is trying to log in with the old password to get your email? Because that will lock the account. I see it all the time.

The way modern OSs work is that they don't store any passwords at all. When you set up your account they pass your new password through a one-way hash algorithm, then store the hash. When you input your password on login, the OS passes the password you enter through the same algorithm and compares it to the stored hash. Since it is a one-way algorithm, there isn't any way to derive the password from the hash. So to prevent password duplication all they do is store a list of your old hashes. When you enter a new password they pass it through the algorithm and compare it to all of the old hashes. If it matches any of them, then they disallow it.

Same here, we are not supposed to use password managers. I have to keep them on a separate non-connected device (encrypted)

Has anyone else noticed the flat black Huey flying around phoenix lately?

Just flew over my house at ~100' and no noticeable tail markings. FBI?

did you need them? I thought you figured it all out.. or were they damaged in the process?

gonna do my plugs and change the s/C oil in the next couple weeks. which, I still need to order the syringe and oil. BRB...

What I do for password management is I use a syllable system. Like this:

    1. Come up with five or six "syllables" for your password system. These are words that your passwords will be made up of. You could use actual words for these, but to meet most password complexity requirements you will almost certainly have to make some kind of number or special character substitutions in them. Just make sure that you can memorize them, and that the first character of each is unique. Memorization is key, if you write these down somewhere, you make this system very easy to compromise.

    2. Create your password(s) using at least three of these syllables, maybe more depending on the length of the syllables and the password length requirements.

    3. Create a cheat sheet for your passwords, writing down just the first letter/number/symbol of each syllable in the order it was used in that password. If you can use shorthand/code to designate which password is which on the sheet, then it becomes even more secure, it becomes a document which literally has no meaning to anyone but you. Just make sure that you don't create a document so cryptic that you can't remember what it means.

    4. When it comes time to change your password, simply swap the order of the syllables and/or swap in new syllables. Line out the old password abbreviation on your cheat sheet, write down the new one.

This system can be adapted to meet all password complexity and change requirements I've ever seen. It is not a password manager, and it is not writing down your password, so it should not violate any security management policies. (Although if your organization is particularly paranoid or involves security clearances, you might want to talk to someone there rather than taking my word for that.) The beauty of the system is that instead of having to memorize dozens and dozens of passwords, or write them all down somewhere where they can be easily read, all you have to do is memorize five or six syllables, and be able to read a sheet of paper.

    I know old question...

Im running HAWK Yellow pads at the moment. I need new pads and was wondering if I should keep with the HAWK or change over to something different? The yellows are very linear but maybe a little more initial bite would be nice.

Im also running DBA slotted rotors too
