Goodyear MTR, PSI question.

Hey guys,

I'm running a set of Goodyear MTR's 265/75/16 I believe load range D, I aired them up to 40psi. Would this be fine for a Tacoma? or should I lower it down a little bit. Thanks for any advise.

I ran MTRs on my Grand Cherokee for about 4 years between 32 and 35 psi. They were 31 x 10.50s. I have never had MTRs on my Tacoma though. Hope that helps a little.

 

I'd take some air out, put them at like 32 - 34psi

Check this out. Use chalk to determine if over-inflated or under-inflated.
Look at the pics of the tires with the chalk line and read the caption.

No problem. The title got me, I want me some MTRs. Good choice in tires

 

Haha yeah. I got them cheap from a friend who upgraded to 295/70/17 Toyo MTs with Walker Evan beadlocks. I hope to keep these for a while I wish Goodyear would have kept the old school design. I'm not sure if I can trust the new Kevlar ones just yet...
