    Hey all,

I'm currently in the process of blacking out my 16 Limited Taco, while doing a mini "overland" build. Most people on here are running with the 5' box, for work/lifestyle/mountain biking the 6' fit our needs (anyone out there with 6'?)

My question is - Has anyone removed mirror caps or door handles? I would imagine the mirror caps are pretty straight forward, but haven't been able to find anything on the door handles - Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Current Upgrades:

    - Bilstein 5100 2" Lift w/ Control Arms & Leaf (going to 3")
    - BFG K02 265/70/17
    - Century Canopy
    - TRD Pro Grill (On order)
    - Limited Emblem Kit Black (On Order)
    - 4 door handles (Shopping around)
    - 2 mirror caps (Shopping around)
    - 2 fog light bezels (Shopping around)

Future Upgrades: (Definitely open to suggestions!)
    - Warn Zeon 10s Platinum Winch
    - SDHQ's Stealth Winch Mount
    - Cold Air intake (Any recommendations?)
    - Floor liners (weather tech vs husky?)
    - Hidden below grill Lighting system
    - Sliders/Step Mounts
    - Rear Bed storage/sleep conversion

Heres a guide I used when working on my 4runner's door handles, probably pretty similar to the taco's...

He may prefer the strength of sliders. I would. If for nothing else, more jack points.

I too have a 2016 Limited mine is White and I am trying to de Chrome the Limited, I switch the grill to the TRD Pro.

I switch Mirror caps I bought the white mirror caps with turn signals. They are not too hard, you need to tilt the mirror towards the vehicle so you can see behind it, then you need an 6 inch of flat head screw driver to push on a white clip to release it at the same time pry or pull on the the mirror cover once the one clip is released the rest just clip on the mirror housing. If you need more help with this message me.

I also switch the front fog bezels I bought non chrome bezels for the SR5 fog lights. Do not buy the bezels for the TRD Sport or TRD OR they are flat on the one side and don't fit. Just by base fog light bezels.

    I also debaged the truck.

I am just on the door handles I might have them vinyl wrapped, but if anyone figures it out I am interested

Do you happen to have the part numbers for the mirror covers, handle inserts and fog light bezels? I am attempting to do the same thing with a quicksand version.

You can get all your parts or at least part numbers since you're in Canada. Not sure what shipping would be like coming from the states though. The internet parts manager is a good dude that does a lot in the off-roading community.

PS, don't waste your time or money on fake sliders. Buy the real thing, you won't regret it when you get into a tough situation.

If you're doing a mild overland build (which I'm doing myself) I would (and I have) get real sliders instead of step bars.

Hi I am planning on dechroming my '19 tacoma limited but I dont know how to remove the fog light bezels and the mirror covers. I dont know if it better to plastidip them or what would you suggest to do. Is there any chance you can help me out if you know any video on how to remove both things. I already change the grill to trd pro one.

I'm wondering why folks are bothering to platidip these handles when there are OEM color matching handles available? (for example, pt #: 69211-0E010-E1).

Is it just the cost of a cheap can vs expensive Toyota parts? Maybe I'm missing something? Thanks!
