Also having issues with the shroud not attaching. Looks like it's hitting the bottom of the housing. They are the apollo 3.0 anyone else deal with that?

I'm wondering this as well. Actually I'm more concerned about how tight it's supposed to be because I read somewhere that you can strip the threads if you over tighten. The instructions online really give no indication at all how tight it is supposed to be. There has to be a sweet spot between damaging the threads and having it too loose and the projector bouncing around. Hopefully someone with more knowledge has a good answer.

No I don't. I could go buy one. I was thinking about cutting that bottom portion out. Didn't want to jump the gun I was waiting for replies on here

I think of this as well before.
The first time i did mine just went with hand tight. But the problem i found is that every time i had to removed the buld it will always move out of alignment.

And then i had to reopen my headlights cause they got condensation on both. And im in the middle of finished it. Not done yet. But this time i used this type of pliers. First i did was hand tight then the pliers like half circle. I did tested removing the bulb a few times and seems to work really nice. Didnt see misaligned of the light.

I just hand tightened them really tight. Kinda forgot to use pliers at the end haha. I didn't JB weld them incase I needed to take them apart or something. Also the washer is meant to deform so it is always tight

Well that was another opcion aswell. But seems that its not necessarily. Seems that with plyers its tight enough so that it wont move.
I was thinking of the jbweld to the locking nut. But since i had to reopen my headlights i redo pretty much everything. And seems that for me no jbweld ia needed. Seems that with the plyers was enough.
I dont want to add jbweld at the moment ( and i dont think will need it) just in case i need to aling the line

Did any of you guys use the H4 adapter ring also? I was going to use it basically as a washer because the locking ring is barely any bigger than the hole in the reflector.

been in the middle of emailing back and forth for a week now trying to get my parts situated correctly. i also mentioned i was having issues with the 25% code that has now gone away. no mention the code was going away...its ok, i just placed my order with the 15% but despite all the mentions of great customer service, this is an example of something that makes that come into question. should have been a warning in my opinion not only on here but with the guy iv been emailing for a week.

Can anyone confirm that I need to trim the apollo 3.0 shrouds, or that I am missing something

thats is what I was thinking, picked up a new dremel to do it. i thought about just using snips to cut it, figured the dremel would be cleaner.

Yeah you'd want the dremel so you dont snap the plastic. Are you painting your shrouds?

Good good. I also put painters tape around the shroud and drew around it for a line. I trimmed it half way of what I wanted first to try as well to practice

Are you having to trim the apollo's because it is a first gen housing?

Yes, ended up trimming and 3/4" by 3/4" off the bottom then using wire to hold it in place
