I have that now. A lot of wasted space. All those extra rooms are good for is collecting junk.

This place looks like about 400 sq.ft. of living space with 1400 sq.ft. of garage space. And its on 10 acres. Aside from a lack of greenery around, its perfect.

Agreed. Hell i've lived in places that big the last 4 years pretty much. All i needed. All i wanted was a big shop like that to actually work on stuff in.

All i need to add to it is a barn for horses and i'd buy it. 10 acres is perfect for that though.

 

Its a sweet place. I am not a fan of all the harley orange/monster green/diamond plating but the layout it cool.

Just move an uncomfortable distance at all and preferably on a budget. I remember I left the army with a small trailer and a motorcycle in the bed. Here I am sorting through the shit I collected and I am planning on just selling and donating everything but clothes, most tools, fishing/hunting gear, my nice bicycle and kitchen stuff. Ill take my bed only if I can't fit it in the bed of the truck on the first trip. Otherwise Ill just get a new one.

 

Congrats. Im a petro engineer myself so feel free to ask questions or advice or w/e as things go along. I just moved to Denver with my company so maybe you can get lucky and come intern for us in Casper lol.

I know that feeling man. Monving for 4 months then movoing back then doing it again.

Side note, already over Denver traffic. Need speedy car to swerve in and out of traffic or a giant ass armored out diesel to run everyone off the road.

 

Hey! That's awesome! What company if you dont mind me asking? Also what do you usually do on a day to day basis? Hoping I can do an internship pretty soon even though ill have barely taken any classes pertaining to the specific work lol

 

I work for Packers Plus, its a downhole completions company (i.e. frac stuff). Lol hard to explain on a day to day as I am a bit of jack of all trades. I go to the field and install our systems on drilling rigs, go to frac sites and over see the frac job, as well as work in the office doing designs, trouble shooting, etc.etc. I just transfered to Denver for a more office based position with additional stuff but will still do the occasional field job.

Its funny, I hardly did any classes pertaining to completions during school. Don't sweat about not getting an internship right away, most people don't as freshman, hell I know lots of people who didn't get who all 4-5 years of school. I managed to get one my first semester of college somehow and have held 5 different ones with 3 different companies. The biggest thing is to just show them your willing to work hard and learn and arent afraid to get dirty.

Big thing I would recommend on internships is unless you absolutely fall in love with a company right away and plan on staying with them forever, don't be afraid to seek other spots. Its not just you going to work for the company, its you getting a feel for how they are. Try to get a few different ones doing different things. You get abetter feel of big vs small to see which size company you like. Also shoot for different fields such as production, drilling, etc. to see which area you like the most. It all makes you more rounded when your looking for full-time and companies love that. I had production and completion experience and its helped me out a ton.

 

lol just gotta get used to it. I will admit I let the road rage take over and was driving like a local for a big. Biggest pain is trying to focus on gps on the dash while not missing an exit. O well, just more excuse to go drive around and check out the area and get used to it.

 

Exactly what I want to do, work in and out of the office. Definitely not afraid to work hard. Grew up on a small ranch and worked landscaping every summer in high school lol. Once I get up there ill start to search around for internships. Appreciate the feed back. Sounds like a fun job to me. Held this dream since 8th grade lol

He seemed pretty hesitant to wanna part it out when I got there. It's a clean truck really. Cab swap and it'd be a great rig.

 

Welcome, I grew up in Pueblo as well. Still go back several times a year to visit Family and get my slopper fix.

so why did he offer you the suspension? did you get it?

 

It was just a weird deal in general. Someone that works for him messaged me about the truck. He didn't even know what $ numbers were exchanged. I asked if he got everything used, but he said he got it all brand new...not that long ago...even though DR hasn't been around since like 08? He didn't seem to know much about it.

But no, I didn't get it. Told him I'm interested cause it's a pretty good deal but I don't know how much I really need suspension.
