what it doesn't say though is every time you use a snatch block, yes, you double you pulling power BUT you cut in HALF the pulling speed, which is not a bad thing, but i've heard that used as a reason to NOT use a snatch block in the past

 

Eh who cares about speed. I hear people talking looking for winches and no one understands how the ratings work.

 

But faster....

 

I love snatch blocks. We used one tonight, to get Jason's jeep in the shop (dead battery). Buddy ran winch line through door, snatch block on my truck to the jeep, it worked who cares of speed

 

LOL i used to catch HELL because the RAMSEY REP8000 on my '85 was so slow, it worked and got our asses out of a lot of icky places, quit yer bitch'n !

but then some of the folks i used to wheel with acted like they were Camel Trophy participants and always flying down the trails ( they also broke a lot of stuff )

Going to use some thicker sheet metal?

 

I got 16ga laying around, figure once it's bent into a box and the edge welded it should be strong enough.

 

Bring it, if can sneak away i have a few buddies with small metal brakes
