Hell, I went through all 15 pages during lunch...and I was eating too.

My only goreish thing to happen to me was at an airshow. Was burned about 80% of my body. Lost all body hair, most of the hair on my head and face. Looked like I had a massive sunburn for many months. Got hit in the jaw by shrapnel and ran through a fireball of jet fuel.

In the pic below, my head is the one on the right side with the blue and white hat on. This is one of three air related crashes I have been in.

When most people hear all the stuff that has happened to me, I don't get a lot of folks that want to go anywhere with me...using any form of transportation.

34 car accidents - never have been at fault...most of the time I am either a passenger or in a parked car.
3 airplane accidents - including the airshow one above
1 boat accident - nearly died of exposure since the boat drifted to a part of the lake that is rarely traveled. Rescued by another boat that had the same issue our rented boat did (motor failed) but his boat had oars in it, ours didn't. Also didn't have an anchor so we could have stayed in the fishing spot.
1 skiing accident - blindsided by an out of control snowboarder. Hit so hard that both skis, boots, poles, and the front 10 inches of his board were broken. I was paralyzed from the chest down for 9 hours until the swelling went down and pressure on my spine went away. I got very lucky.
1 stab wound - Druggy tried to mug me. He tripped and stabbed me right above my kneecap.
1 slice wound - near my right elbow on the front of my arm, got it when I was 13. Will just leave it at a psycho woman.

Been told that too. Like his character, I can't swim... I have been told the same all the time, lucky or not. I gravitate to lucky. I have been able to talk to people that are going through some tough stuff in their lives and can say, "Hey, I have been there. It does get better."

Can't say too much about this one. What I can say is that this is the result of a 5.56 round at very close proximity.

Yeah, I usually trip on cash in the street (no lie, ever since I was a kid), but never win anything big.

    Hang in there guys.

Leg/foot injuries are the worst. Mine took 18 months to heal and I still have issues from time to time, even after 3 years.

Foobird, make sure to tell your doctor and get some more antibiotics. That can get nasty quicker than you think.

    Hope you guys get better.

Looks like you're a medic, is that you? If so, was it your coworkers that picked you up in the ambulance? haha!

Can you share a story to the photo?

I didn't build it hoping for your approval, I built it because it meets mine!

Quoting my own post to share some more pics.
Due to the highly traumatic injuries to my legs/hip I have heterotopic ossification going on.
Range of motion on my left hip is severely limited. Going to need another surgery to take some of it out. Maybe it will help but who knows. IMG_6753.jpgIMG_6752.jpgIMG_6754.jpg
