I just had a light bar taken from my lower valence last week... But I sorta had it coming as it was zip tied down there. My roof one and fogs have been fine, but they're a little more involved to remove.

Let's try this again without my license plate number out there. I miss my tailgate. I feel like everything is going to fly out.

Serious question- is there a big issue with showing your license plate number? I never understood the secrecy around that, but maybe I'm just being naive...

Apparently its easy to look up your address and since you just showed a picture of what stuff you have... i think thats the main concern.

Guys, I need some help in determining a proper suspension setup. I was going to go with Stage 2 Icon, but the deal fell through with the local shop (yall should pass on Nomad IMO). Anyhow, Ive been reading a bunch and I dont think Icon are for me anymore with the digressive shock, top plate failures, and even uniball failures on the UCA's. I want to wheel the truck but my intended usage is overlanding/camping/exploring/etc. Its not my daily driver but I do use it a bunch for hauling my mountain bikes for a ride or camping recently. I will have sliders in 12 weeks, roof rack in 4, and am ordering up an RTT here pretty soon. Researching steel skids as well. Front and rear bumpers (likely aluminum) are going to have to wait till after warranty, but I do like those slimline, winch bumpers that require no cutting so could order one sooner rather than later.

What are yall running for suspension? Any recommendations? I can spend up to 2250 on all the parts needed for suspension so there are options... just too many options! please haelp!

Granted here soon (eventually... I hope) i'm going to be cutting it all out to SAS, I really do enjoy my Fox setup. 2.5" Res Coilovers up front with Camburg UCAs, up at about 3" of ride height. Rear are 2.0s and a Wheeler's 4 pack with a Wheeler's 2" AAL. The front is hard to flex with the 700lbs springs but its IFS.. rides great and feel very comfortable running it.

King shocks for me, I did icon aal in the rear but they are flat now so next month I'll probably be bugging @Texoma to put on all pro or deaver leaf springs.

I hear good things about bilstein maybe look into those also

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Dem Kings are very nice, only bitch about them is adjusting them on the truck, but I think I figured out a way around that. Definitely for anyone looking for suspension upgrade, then adding armor, go with a 650-700# spring rate for the front. Mitch can verify that he had to swap his 600's for 700's recently to accommodate for the new front bumper. As for the rear leafs, yes, upgrade to a new leaf pack as the stock leafs are weak. OME Dakars, Deavers, and All Pro Expos are all great leaf packs. Personally I think the All Pro Standard leaf pack is sub par to the rest. Upper control arms are very important too. So many out there flooding the market and they are all good. TC is very well engineered, and you'll pay for that. Camburg is a great control arm as well, because they give you the option to have a stock ball joint that you can buy in almost any part store or have a uniball.

I paid for a icon stage 2 but the local shop kept rescheduling the install for 6 weeks so he refunded me. I dont mind paying for gear that will last me a long time as im into this truck for the long term.

I like what Im reading about the kings and dakars. I do plan on having armor and other gear to add weight so ill look into the heavier spring. There is a King group buy right now too.

lol everything is bolted down. I'm just not used to have a tailgate-less tacoma.2

Well, people are still crazy. Let me put this into perspective. I can essentially look up anyone's health records if you've ever been to one of the major hospitals in Austin. Do I do it? No. If I was willing to violate federal law to do it, I could do it. I'd just rather spend 20 seconds on MS paint and never have to worry about it.

I've had King suspension parts on past trucks good stuff. I have Fox on this Tacoma and when I get a few other things sorted out I'm pulling them to replace with ADS suspension components. Better materials than the others, still high performing parts and in some cases comparably priced or offers for less. Do believe there is a group buy for them going on right now as well.

FYI you can order the kings with the 700's installed at no extra charge. Most places ask you to chose which you want at time of order.
