wow thanks for the tip man. I'm in Long Beach and work at the port so it's close enough to make a stop. Was going to have you do them but I'm gonna see if my brother is up for the job. He went through a good welding program last year that cost him a pretty penny. Now he's an electrician LOL. I think he'll be stoked to do this but if not I'll be hitting you up again. For sure i'll be checking out LACO steel. Mine's a DCLB so it's gonna cost more for the steel but it sounds like a fun project.

Yeah dude, you just Pop up the 110, get off at Rosecrans make a right and head down to Avalon and it's right there. I compared prices with the popular metal supplier down the street M&K metals and I save $45 on one set of sliders in material by going to LACO. Lot of savings when you add it up. I did 10 sets of rock sliders last month. So it saved me a whole $450 lol

All good bro, you're not hurting my feelings at all. By all means if you guys want to and can do it yourself, go for it!! Should be fun. But yeah like you said, if you end up not doing it, I'm here for ya!

I got the steel from a local steel yard i got all the steel very cheap. as for sliding on rocks they couldnt work better they have taken the full weight of my truck several times sliding over rocks or logs and i have used my hi lift on them a few times and have had zero problems.

What angle did you cut the bars connecting the 2 bars together to the shorter and longer bars?

Has anyone tried mounting DIY sliders to the frame without welding? Meaning, the same way you'd mount bolt-on running boards...

There's a few posts out there of DIY sliders that people made bolt on, vs weld on. Being a welder, I would never weld these to my frame. I'm going the bolt on path when I build mine. Once I'm back home that is.

Do you have the dimensions for how far they stick out? I'm getting ready to place an order for some 2x2 5/16 square tube.
