Got a $400 dollar bonus from work this week. Know it's going into the truck, but can't decide what to get first.

I'm doing the deckplate mod this weekend...after three weeks in the shop she comes home tomorrow morning! From what I read here it's just as good as a CAI, esp. since I've got the K&N filter in it. Lets out CAI.

If I did the exhaust I'd want to go dual header / dual exhaust, which is a tad more than the 400 bucks would get me. And I'm not really sure how I'd go about putting in dual exhaust, like as in where would the O2 sensors go, would I need dual cats to pass smog in case I move to a state where there are inspections, etc. Lets out exhaust for now anyway.

I voted for some nerf bars. Since you are in your own words an "old guy" the nerf bars could help you get in and out of the truck.

Since $400 is your budget, I would suggest

    http://www.n-fab.com/

AND they will do a slight custom job and only weld on one step per side instead of two for access cabs, if you want. All you gotta do is email them (I did). From what I've heard/learned, the email goes straight to the company president and he replies.

    You asked, my .02.

I'd get either a N-fab prerunner bar and lamps OR sound system. Leaning more towards the system though.

I would go stereo or nerf bars.

    edit: isn't 400 a little low for a stereo?
