Sounds good man...Hopefully you like the bumper. As for me...I originally had a front bumper project with mobtown. Now I will be picking up my truck hopefully tomorrow with a new one from a custom fabber. Im sort of in the same boat as @Casper66 on this one.

We'll see how it turns out. I'm just a standard order kind of guy, so hopefully it works out.

I'm about absolutely positive you'll be happy with what you get I sure hope so. I just have a case of sour grapes because of my response.

Yeah. I kinda feel bad for all these special trucks these guys have not being able to get what they want for them. I must've done something wrong, this is like the first vehicle I've owned that i can easily get aftermarket parts for.
    Mobtown skids
    Pelfery front on order
Maybe a big gas tank (fingers crossed)
Hopefully an AllPro dual seeing rear bumper too

Im sure he will too...Mobtown is great when it comes to his already pre-designed products which is what his business is tailored for. I know many who have the sliders and bumpers and they are exactly as you see in the photos and seem to have no issue when bolting on (except for early 3rd gen sliders). I think if you try to deviate from his set of products though, the results can vary in any direction as me and @Casper66 have found out.

Special? It's just a little 4cyl truck nothing special at all there and being kept as basic as I can

Im sure its the problem with not enough demand to make a standardized set up. To me, I don't see why companies wouldn't try to capitalize on this. It would be an easy way to make a product that would appeal to many due to a lack of competition for minimal modification from the standard skids from what you told me.

I'm just curious what's so different between the 4 and 6 cylinders that makes the skid plates non interchangeable

From what Casper told me...I think it is just a slight modification in order to clear certain engine components as they have a different space allocation. Im sure he will chime in soon to explain it better.

The hole for engine oil drain is in a different location for ifs skid and from what I'm told the spacing for frame cross members (attachment points) have a different orientation and the rear skid cross member has to be completely relocated. But then spoke to another member who said all he had to do for the rear skid was notch it to fit so I really don't know. What I derived from all this is there's such a low demand that no one has really bothered looking to see. In fact one vendor asked for feed back to see what had to be changed to make them fit when I install them

Could be a worthy project to work with a company that might be willing to design one? I think they might have a gold mine if they could get a solid template made for whoever wanted to invest in making one.

I'm trying to work with some one now to remain nameless but if all works out ifs will come with no oil drain hole and I will cut my own. Then after making other alterations to adapt it will be discussed. I'm not sure where spacial would come anywhere around my little turd but I like it

If you're having to modify aftermarket parts to fit your vehicle it is special. I should know, the 65 Chevy II wagon had a lot of wagon only 1965 only parts, and the first gen Tundra had almost 0 aftermarket support until recently.

    Debacle, that's a good word
