But the extra carbon in there will make them too heavy. It'll contribute to global tire warming due to excess heat.

 

Sounds like I'll stick to OBA when the time comes. One less thing to worry about. I believe it was @itaro that told me someone put their OBA where the spare tire goes under the bed. I'm liking that idea.

 

Carry a pump. Weighs less, easier to replace when it fails, and cost/simplicity.

 

For overlander guys the on board systems make a lot more sense. Especially if they built it up to drive a locker AND air tools. If someone hard mounts a pump and tank to fill their tires I'm like whytho

 

It's way faster than an air pump, but it does run out and need to be filled. It fills tires from 20psi to 32psi in 20 seconds, easy to transport, doesn't require electricity. OBA requires power but it never runs out of air which is nice, just slower.

 

How many did you go through? I like being able to move my jumper and pump from either vehicle as well. Whatever I'm driving I've got air and a boost if needed.
