    Mine are siezed, but I have not dealt with the problem. My alignment tabs are bent over as well. They are both on my to-do list. :anonymous:

    I'm going to have to address this before I get another set of tires, the chamber was out like .3 degrees on one side and 1 degree in the other. News to me that the bolts sieze up that quickly, the trucks a 2013.

    My alignment guy who ive been going to for years knew beforehand they'd be siezed, brought me in the shop and showed me. He said to replace the whole lca im assuming because the bushings are going to be stuck in there aswell, said he's seen the same on a ton of tacomas

    I've read a couple threads about it happening on first gens, but I can't say about 2nd gens.

    People sometimes recommend to replace the whole LCA because its just easier to replace the whole unit than to remove and install bushings into an old, rusted LCA.

    Are you talking OEM or aftermarket? Cost wise aftermarket Moog or Dorman seems like the way to go, so long as they fit properly.

    OEM, Toyota doesn't sell ball joints separately. You can only get them if you buy new upper, and lower control arms.

    I'm seeing that now... So basically $500 for OEM vs. $200 for Moog

    Too much of a hassle, not to mention i'm probably not going to tackle this job myself and my guy's not going to want to fool around with rusted LCA and stuck bushings. It's bad enough the stock bolts need to be cut and i'm reading thats no easy task either.

    Just debating that this point weather to go OEM LCA's or aftermarket. I'm fine with aftermarket as long as they fit.

    Cutting the bolts is pretty easy actually. Get a good ( expensive) metal blade for a reciprocating saw and some cutting oil and go to town. If it starts to smoke give it a minute to cool and have back at it. A good blade makes it go real quick.

    Someone please find and post the easy method to remove the LCA bushings. It's on youtube but I'm at work and can't access it. All you need is your factory bottle jack and a little heat and they pop right out. Very easy

    Well to be honest I have never tried them but they claim to be much stronger by the manufacturing process. I have used Moog multiple times in my wifes car and the end links always separate and I would hate to have that happen to ball joints on my truck

    Quote from Proforged page;
    "The world’s finest ball joints from the name you trust – Proforged. Laboratory tested and proven in the real world, our ball joints feature improved design over the competition for increased longevity and durability, even in the most demanding conditions. Proforged Ball Joints generally utilize forged SAE4140 steel for the ball stud and forged SAE1045 for the housings, a combination that yields incredible strength and toughness. Proforged ball joints are available for nearly every year, make, and model vehicle found on the road today."

    I know, I know it's their own web site etc etc...
