All that aside their pricing on lugs was unbeatable, they gave me $1.XX in TW discount and I was OTD something like $41 shipped. So I was happy to give it to them.

    Oh.

And they did have tracking on my USPS Small Flat Rate box, which was nice. I hate getting anything without tracking info.

    Ok just gotta vent....
Been slammed at work since last week. Because I'm leaving for vacation next week I've been pushing my guys on production to try and get some cushion so who ever covers for me doesn't go in the red while I'm gone. In the end it still reflects on me regardless of who covers my project.

I'm plus 42% since last week which is fucking killing it in our industry. Well my PM just informed me that they are gonna devert those numbers to a different part of the contract they they miss bid. WTF!!!!!! So I bust my ass so you cock suckers can hide your fuck ups?!?!?!? :annoyed::annoyed: :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

    Ok rant over carry on

Yep. I got a bonus , it went like this "Thanks for sacrificing 2 months of your family time and working every single day for 12-14 hours, only getting to see your family for about half an hour a day, here's a 50$ gift card"

Money is cool and all, and if I had a job that had required OT and that money (and PTO) allowed me to use it for better time with family than I'd have had sitting at home, then maybe I wouldn't absolutely hate it.

But now that I have a kid and another on the way, I really cherish what time I get at home, which isn't as much as I'd like it to be. I need a change of job, but schedule flexibility really makes things harder. I don't want to be working 10-12 hours a day, 5 days a week. I'd rather have less money and more time than the opposite.

See I'm right there with you, except I really like money as well. So I'm at war with myself alot of the time. Plus I pretty much pay all the bills (except daycare) so I kind of have to work all the time.

Eh.. if I was broke as hell maybe I'd be different. My sister makes great money but is miserable and is stressed out. I make half of what she makes, but I have more time and do more with it, and I do more with my money than she does. She's always broke, making $100k+.. I make half that, and I can't go nuts on shit at my leisure, but I have a home in Sonoma County, 2 SUVs and a project car, 2 kids, etc,. Danielle didn't work for 15 months and I paid all the bills in that time, and now she's only making about $600 a month, anyway.

It'd be great to have a job where 20 minutes of work pays me enough to buy dinner out with the family, but I'd rather spend 20 minutes coloring with Isabella on the floor and grill some chicken thighs. :notsure:
