I feel bad for Selena Gomez. I wonder if she still has her shitty 2016.

All magazines are printed ahead of time, if you go pick one up today it is probably a May 2017 Issue.

I drove my last truck 14 years. Would still be driving it today if a deer had not decided to jump out in front of me and total it. My plan is to drive my '17 Tacoma SR5 for 20 years, not really worried about resale value at the moment.

I would agree with that to a certain extent but if you go through Consumer Reports they rate EVERY SINGLE Toyota and Lexus Models as Above Average and the Tacoma is the only one with a Below Average Rating, so if they were paid off, then why would they not rate them all bad?

They've always criticized the Tacoma, not the first time, it has a history of a bad consumer reports rep.

Since you had a link with JD Power, I decided to look there, unfortunately the Tacoma finished below an outdated Frontier...

I don't recall that but you may be right, my memory of picking up the magazines was seeing all red circles under the Tacoma which was the excellent rating.

I may be mistaken too. Think people are a bit overreactive here though.

I didn't read through this whole post but I got a 2016 last May and I am loving it. Crushed a few trails here in CO rated at a 5~6 bone stock and the off-road modes made it easy. The crawl control is a kind of silly, but the differential braking is not. I got through some crazy stuff that some jeep guys on the trails were dumbfounded by. Like, "a stock Tacoma made it through that??" I'll go ahead and keep mine with whatever the CR reviews say if no one here minds....

Bunch of whinners it was a big change in a lot of big ways new models first years don't usually fair that well it'll be fine. Still rather a Tacoma over the twins or other small trucks. Buddy bought one of the twins new model he had a rental car given to him for over 3 weeks lol
