Looking to buy new Taco buy am reading Mixed Reviews on the Eng/tranny combo; several owners have returned their Truck after only a week or so. Bueller?

Check out one with a Manual Trans, most of the complaints are with the Auto.

Go test drive one. Decide for yourself. Try out a manual trans too. Also test drive a 4runner or 2nd gen tacoma for reference.

FYI. No engine or tranny or rear diff noise. No LCA howl. Pretty much the perfect car.

There's already way too many threads like this, just dig around the forums. Best thing to do is go drive the truck. It's like having a pair of shoes in front of you and you go on the internet and ask everyone if the shoes are comfortable, just put the shoes on and see for yourself.

Get the latest tranmission TSB if it needs it. It cured my complaints about engine/transmission performance.

if you're letting some random reviews on the internet influence wether or not you should buy a 40k truck or not then you probably shouldn't be buying one in the first place.
