I will be picking up my 2014 Toyota Tacoma (4x4) double cab on Friday, or Monday (at the latest) of next week... I am excited to join this community and see what everyone else did to theirs and get to know whoever is interested?

I am from Ontario, Canada (Guelph)... for geographical connection.

    Thanks!!

I've had a '83, 2000 and now the 2011. My wife has had a '99 4runner and currently a '05 4runner with the v8 she won't let go of because she can't buy a new one with the v8. Daughter has a 2010 Scion. I guess you can say we are a Toyota family. I don't know if I would buy the 3rd gen though. The engine isn't impressing me and I don't care for the redesign so I may be looking at something different but that's a ways off.

Every one of them has been great so far. I traded my 2000 in on the 2011 at 209,xxx miles and never has to do anything to it other than 1 clutch, a radiator and one wheel bearing. Runner is going strong at 140,xxx miles.

This site will empty your wallet quickly. They run a group buys on things all the time on here. You'll have mods you never thought you'd need before you got on here. lol

That's great!!! a ton of reliability on these trucks eh? I have wanted one for damn near 15 years or so, seen this one at a dealer online and decided id pounce... they don't come up often in this area with such a low amount of KM"s on it. (I don't think they come up often in any area, because anyone who has one hangs onto them for awhile?)

Yeah, down here they cost so much used you might as well buy a new one. They are usually within a couple thousand of new price. The difference in financing charge makes it a smarter decision to buy new.

Good luck! That's the most wanted hood everyone seems to want. Some have complained about getting a glare from the sun off of them though just so you know.

Yeah not so economical now with the 3rd gen trucks. I meant on the 2nd gen trucks. I'm sure used 3rd gen trucks are pulling almost new prices also though.

really eh? I am just interested in the look of them... mine comes with a bug deflector (which I intend to remove) and a straight stock hood. Lets see, maybe if I pay a little cash they'll flip it? :)

That has usually been the case down here. You could always buy a aftermarket sport hood and have it painted. I saw them down here for less than $200. Still have to have it painted but may be faster if you really want one bad.
