Hey y'all, I've posted a little bit over the last week or so, but haven't officially introduced myself. My name's Kellie, I'm a medical assistant by day, avid lover of life by night. I'm in the SW Portland area, I do travel a bit for work and when I'm not working, I'm everywhere else. I'm pretty stoked to be a part of the community here, it's great to be able to learn from each other in such a supportive environment. The username has a story about it - one of my neighbors had initially offered to let me buy his Dodge Magnum. I politely declined and mentioned I wanted to get a Tacoma. A week after bringing it home, I go out in the morning to head to work and admire my dewy truck and there are swirls on the windows where someone had wiped the dew away to look into my truck, undoubtedly the neighbor. Hence my double entendre of a username since I am of the female variety. Mostly a good joke and a good story.

I've owned quite a few vehicles in the past, but this is my first truck. I've secretly been pining for a Tacoma for years now, and got the opportunity to get one after a recent car accident that left my little Focus totaled. Silver linings and all.

I got a 2017 TRD Sport access cab 4x4, manual transmission with tow package. Only had 10 miles before I got my hands on it. His name is Dante and I am in LOVE! Gotta say, it's nice to have a little elevation and not be so low to the ground - one of the best things is not having everyone else's headlights directly in my eyeballs. Also super awesome to have 4x4! I've never driven 4x4 before last night, it's pretty feckin sweet, I totally understand the appeal.

Dante has been upgraded with 35% tinted windows (toying with the idea of going darker...), running boards, blacked out emblems, a hitch cover, bed mat, TRD Pro grille, Undercover Flex tonneau, console organizer, tray, and LED interior lights.

Definite plans to get 265/65/17 BFG KO2s, likely won't get the lift since MPG>Play for the time being due to a varying commute. Definite plans to upgrade the brake, reverse, and fogs to LEDs to match the DRLs. Definite plans to take off the TRD decals once it warms and dries up a bit.

Considering HIDs for the headlights, would like my lights to match the DRL, but want to make sure they're equivalent or better than the halogens. Would like to upgrade the sound system, get a little more bass up in there. Looking into winches, tow straps, etc. Need to invest in some damn good car wash and detailing products...

Looking forward to chatting with y'all!

I had just gotten studded tires for my Focus, which handled the snow amazingly - I was out on the roads everyday. It was awesome! Looking forward to seeing how this bad boy does... Might be going up the mountain this weekend to play a little.

Welcome @DontTouchMyTaco, watch out for your wind deflector on the front! They tend to get ripped off pretty easily.

No kidding! I toned it down slightly by blacking out the Toyota symbol on the chrome, but it wasn't satisfying enough. So now that it's on there, I'm totally diggin it. Got myself the Pro grille for my birthday. Which is at the end of the month...plenty of time to treat myself a bit more possibly.....

Sound system wise. For quality and budget I went with kenwood speakers and a kenwood sub/amp housed together. Made it much louder and fuller sound. The speakers were a Christmas present, but all together it's about $200 to do.

But if you want some high quality stuff, there's plenty of different brands to go with.
