@ChadsPride I didn't realize how popular your build thread was... is it one of the busiest on TW?

 

Coast guard is cool too if you like being in a leadership role. It's very doable for someone a year or two out of high school even to get their coxswain qual and be in charge of their own small crew or become a boarding officer and lead a boarding team.

Key thing is getting out to A-School as quickly as possible and making rate. As a non-rate you won't make much and you'll get stuck doing all the work no one else wants to do Although, that's pretty true with E-4s too
