It came on the SR5 and Limiteds. The believe more limiteds had the Locker than SR5's. They must have been an add one.

Plot twist. Selling wife's gay ass 14' explorer and getting the 100 series. Keeping subie for a little while longer. Saving so much more money. I hated those car payments.

She's gonna hate the 14 mpgs but whatever. Just put a little of what we saved on payments into gas. No biggie.

Brother recently replaced his headlights and asked him if he saved the old ones. He did. First mod....my first take on a retrofit.

Same. I was surprised on how reliable the ford was though. Was doing like 20k a year and no mishaps. Have to replace the vapor canister purge control valve for the P1450 code this weekend (some bleed vacuum shit code) and hopefully sell it by Monday.

My family has been split on Ford reliability. One would be awesome the other would be junk. At least you got mostly trouble free miles out of it.

Yeah, that was my first and last ford. Their resell value is so shitty. I'm having to eat a couple G's from being upside down. Still a deal when my brother is selling me the LX for 8k with perfect records. :spy:

Their resale is absolute shit, except for the F150's. Jealous of the LX, I'm between the LX and the GX for my next ride.

Eh.. I was looking at a 2017 F150, projected first year deprecation was almost $11k.

Out of the big 3 it seems like Dodge depreciates the most and Chevy in the middle and the Ford the least.

No question, but $11k is $11k. :bananadead:

For contrast, my 2013 Tacoma was $24,800 brand new. When I totaled it last month, the market value was $24,400. I got a check from insurance for $29,816 for it with 57k miles.

Can't do that with a Ford.. a new F150 for me is a long term vehicle, because you'll lose your ass on it no matter what. No sense in not driving it into the ground from a financial standpoint.

Gotta love the family discount. I kept bugging him about buying it from him since he barely uses it plus he's single with no kids and also has a tundra to ride in. He finally gave in and told me to shut up.

There was a 2014 Sport DCLB here locally and they wanted $34k.

    I had a price for a 2017 DCLB SR5 with tow and 4x4 for $31,600.

    :notsure:

No doubt Toyotas keep their resale value. I would trust my 01 180k mile Camry on a cross country trip over an 01 180k Ford.

Haha always nice to get a good family discount.
