    Yep. Except for concerns about gun powder sticking (shake shake shake, or tumble it if you have the equipment) you're good to go no matter the age.

    Yeah if it were big high power .308 I'd give it a good shake and shoot it happily. .22? blast away. Even if she don't go bang it's so cheap who cares.

    A rim fire doesn't have the same PITA with moisture incursion through the primer so it should be pretty stable. Guys are still shooting -06 from big DubyaDubya Dos.

    If it matters as well...

    For the sake of fewer headaches and such I would not do this test in an indoor range... It's easy to clear a failure to fire and throw it down range than it is surrounded by idiots taking selfies.

    I keep tellin' ya mang! Look for cracks or bulges. You'll be fine. Even some minor surface rust is meh. Unless it's loosing surface metal to corrosion or cracked open you're all good. Can bring them tonight and I'll take a look if you'd like.
