    What do you guys think the best rear shocks are that will be good for both on road and off road use. I was looking at Icon,King,Fox or billies 5100's.

    Seconded! Honestly OP, you're really only gonna get opinions on what people think is best which is what they run on their own vehicle. We all chose our suspension because we believe that brand is best. I really do think that either ADS or King is the best though. Fox or Icon would be third/fourth or maybe some other smaller brands.

    cxr turbo, fic6, methanol injection, king coilovers, jba uca, skyjacker leafs, rear 12" 5125s, no-slip rear locker, 35" grabber x3, magnaflow muffler, retrofit headlights, trans cooler, bed lined exterior, etc...
    Any of the higher end rebuildable revalveable shocks will outride 5100s or omes. a few choices are fox, ads, icon, SAW, radflow, king, bilstein (higher end models like 7100 or 9100), walker evans, F.O.A., etc. Alot of these offer custom valving when buying aswell.

    Out of all you listed I only have personal experience with Bilsteins. I know they can be custom valved, but I think they are a great upgrade from a factory shock while still being on a budget. They made my 3/4 ton GMC ride like a half ton. I'm talking about the 5100s. I know the other brands are probably better, but for the price Bilstiens aren't a bad option.

    I currently have 5100's in front with 886's. In the rear only a 1.5' block and the Trd Off Road package billies ( which as a result have lost compression). Im looking forward to adding some rear shocks that can compliment what I have in front. With a budget of < $400.
