This is a direct quote to me asking if there was another option: "yes, all orders must be sent over PM, including payment info to streamline the process. I take 100's of orders on TW through PM, nothing to worry about. but you can also pay with paypal."

Just because many orders have been taken over PM doesn't make it any more secure.

I trust them, but I don't know how secure tw is. Like if somebody got into my pms or theirs and got my card info, that would be irritating.

That's my main concern. It isn't with DSMS

Same here, I trust DSMS for sure, but it can't be that hard to hack a TW account.

i just used a credit card and not a debit card. If that card gets compromised its not my money but my debit is a little more important because i need to pay the mortgage lol

You still have to go through the hassle of calling the company and filing a report. And then switching out the number on whatever you have it used for either sites or bills.

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal. Hopefully it wont happen just was my solution (a simple one) to the issue of putting my card in a PM.

Having your card compromised is kind of a big deal... but I get what you're saying.

    Hey guys,

Just because I love my truck so much I thought I'd post a pic and a couple things I learned when I put the Kings on mine (did it myself).

The manual says they're set-up for a lift of 1", BUT, that's for a Gen 2 Taco. For a Gen 3, you're going to have to crank it up. You'll need a Spring Compressor to do this. I brought them back to King and they did it for me. I installed them first, took a measurement then told them how many turns to crank them. Because I put an AAL in back it looks like I went a lot, but I didn't. Remember the Gen 2/3 difference.

Oh, BTW, removing the UCA pivot bolt is an F'n bitch. I did it though so you can too. Get an alignment when you're all done, and have it checked after 1,000 miles.

    RZ Rob

Sent in my order but asked about paypal. CC's don't scare me as much, but it's just such a hassle changing numbers. All the bills I have set to auto pay, anything my girlfriend has set to auto pay with her card... I know nothing will probably happen, but I'd rather eliminate all risk with PayPal.

yep, going with Dirt Kings LT kit and because they require specific shocks no one can give me an answer, first it's no i can't have IBP, yet DK says i can, then its choice of spring and if i get ibp, i can only have a 16"spring instead of 18" spring, and on top of that they need a specific top cap... ive given up on ibp now because ive heard about them leaking and the internal bumpstop being shit, its better just to get standard co's and external bumps. all i want now is 2.5 x 8in with RR's an adjusters running an 18" spring, but i dont know if i need a 1" lower eye and specifically what top cap i need. This is dk's specific shock needed, all i want is whats in the picture ( just talking about the shocks themselves) http://shop.dirtkingfabrication.com/King-Spec-Shocks-for-Dirt-King-Long-Travel-Kit-DK-811908-KSS.htm I dont think im gonna purcahse dk's upper mount, ill just fab some myself.

    VVT-i just kicked in yo!
So on a 2nd Gen Taco (2006) how much lift will the "D" (shocks modified to use with the OME Dakar CS047R spring pack) version achieve and will I be able to use JBA UCA? They specifically state only "uniball" type UCA for King coil overs on their website. I found pictures of JBA UCA and Kings. Also is the extended travel available with the D versions?

Since it's not going on a factory suspension do I need to add $200 to each set? Kinda confused on that point.

What is considered mid travel in the front? I'm planning on chevy 63 swap and 14in shocks in the rear, what is equivalent in the front?
