It's a "nice to have" thing but I can say with some authority that you can use a t-shirt in a pinch so it's a little redundant.

    I have:

    - lithium battery jump box
    - rubber gloves
    - oil mat (this is for when I have to access the spare tire, and I don't want to lay on the bare ground)
    - basic tool kit
    - micro fiber towels
    - good flashlight

Personally the first two thing that come to mind in my daily are sleeping bag and firearm. I have other bits I keep in my daily but I've never needed them, obv they will still be kept in my daily. Things like a solar roll, tool bag, jump pack. But learning from my past experiences I've needed (multiple times) a sleeping bag or a firearm.

I'm still building my supplies but I already have far more than I've ever had in any other vehicle. Hard to stop buying things for the truck.

    Have:
    Flashlight
    9mm
    paper towels
    ratchet straps
    bungie cords
    fix-a-flat
    gas can w/ fuel
    20' tow strap
    jumper cables
    400w power inverter
Tool box w/ basic ratchet, wrenches, screwdrivers, knife
    Hand sanitizer
    litter bag

    To get:
    expand tool box; spare fuses/tape/misc.
    change of clothes
    food & water
    basic first aid kit
...more as I think of it

I don't talk about those or the RPG's that deploy from bed. My spare tire is actually a mine that I can release from a switch in the cabin.

Uh...glock 26, spare glock 19 mag, fixed blade bk6, sharpener, multi tool, 2 flashlights, rain gear, ratchet straps, tow rope, hitch shackle, light tool kit (don't usually keep a 250 piece set in the truck), shovel, axe, matches, lighters, tarp, aluminum floor jack, tire chocks, cheap 12v air compressor, duck tape, zip ties, gear ties, bungee cords.. that's all I can think of for now. Most of it fits in the bed under tonneau in container.

Fuck it, I don't carry anything. I watch Bear Grylls and Les Stroud so I can survive in the wild with what nature provides.
