it just depends on if you want the factory look or not...or if the plastic piece even fits. After you remove the torx screws, the top cap pops off with a little force.

I heard back form the guy with the Wildernest.
    He said it is 5 x 7.8.

I told him I wanted it but he has not acknowledged that it is mine yet.

Now that I have three gate remotes on my truck, I was looking for options to clean it up a bit. I came across this: http://ranger.polaris.com/en-us/shop/accessories/audio-systems/2882082/
It looks like it fits a standard Carling full sized switch, but I can't find any information confirming the fact. What do you guys think? Kinda pricey, but it would look clean.

Before you bite, do an image search for "ford sun visor homelink" and consider buying a second hand visor in grey and add it to your headliner or even to the side of your center console. The sun visors come apart quite easily and I imagine you can get one for about twenty to thirty bucks.

You gave me a great idea. I can mount one of those homelink buttons on the underside of the door on the center console. Ooooh baby.

EDIT: Ordered. Got one in charcoal on ebay for $23.
