    The bottom seam there fills a decent size gap between the scab plate and the bend of the frame. Its about the most I could do without a root pass and secondary pass.

    That was run with my Millermatic 252, Esab .035 MIG wire, 21 volts/265 IPM and run Argon 75/25 around 20 cfm. No splatta!

    TIG give you some more options, because it's an electronic torch and you hand feed the welding rod.

    I've been looking to get a TIG machine, most likely next year. This year is CNC plasma table and press brake. :)

    @Mobtown Offroad @Blackout14 what are y'all using for rattle can paint on the skids... bed liner? I want to just rustoleum them but they are going to fucking chip like a mofo in a second... clearly they are going to get cut up which is whatever but for limiting chipping on road... suggestions?

    I've been renting a machine as I need it, just don't do enough to justify a 3k welder, when I can rent it for 90 bucks a weekend.

    Self etching primer, and spray on bedliner is my go-to. It's held up well, except when you drag it over a big rock.
