Quoting myself because I just called D S M. They do indeed add a 1" rod end and that's all they do. Ext/collapsed is the same except +1" from the new rod end of course.

Has anybody else had an issue with the misalignment spacers being too wide for the lower shock mount? I had to pry mine open to fit the coilovers in. Waiting to hear back from king about my issue.

I read your post in a different thread about this. Mine went right in just barely snug I think. To me it seems like you possibly have the wrong spacers in especially seeing how much you had to bend on both sides. Not sure if the spacers are a press fit, loc-tite or just a slip fit but maybe they weren't fully seated? Seems like they would have been though after u tried squeezing them in there. Seems unlikely that they would give u the wrong spacers but my top mount plate was put on backwards from the factory on each coilover...I had to switch them around....so maybe sometimes they do make mistakes.

Looking at UCA's to pair with clicker kings.

    Heim or no heim?

I would go heim if i knew I would be getting some adjustment issues with alignment.

Do any of you with bushings regret not getting the heim mounts?

TahKEYtoes (damn your name makes me hungry)!!! Depending where you live, heim can rust up rather fast and has a lot of upkeep. If you arnt planning to crank the coils crazy high then I think you would be ok with the standard ones. I think a lot of the racer guys use heim for that perfect finite adjustment. Since I'm on the east I objected on heim as the salt here would eat them up fast in the winter.

    Thanks Coot,

I'm Southern California, not too close to the ocean but rust could be an option. Just aiming for a 2-3" lift.

My b man, didn't respond! Sounds to me that heim might work for you...but with the height you are going for you may not need the adjustability. I know heim is great for a lot of the racing stuff so trucks can be dialed just before hand and can go with a different geos for different set ups. If you are going to stay within the standard 2-3 inch lift that I think most UCAs are tailored towards, you may not see much benefit. I considered heim, but since I wont be pushing the threshold in lift I decided against it as I didn't want to deal with the added upkeep with minimal reward. Its one thing if you are constantly messing with the heim settings for different types of driving, but to set it once and forget it seems to be a little bit of a waste considering what it is designed for.

Anyone who has experience with heim, feel free to correct me though...I have gathered this info mainly from phone calls/bullshiting with peeps!

I’m looking for the same setup, just raise the front to level the truck out and get the best ride on road since that’s 95% of what I drive. My question is would it be any issue if I went with extended travel on front and rear with only raising the front and keeping the rear close to stock level? If for some reason I decide down the road to lift the rear 1.5” my setup would be ready. Also if I go extended in the front and only level out the truck do I need UCA like TC? Before you ask why spend this kind of $ when there is cheaper options it’s because I decided not to go with the PRO and use the 10K to build it like I want.

GET THE EXTENDED. Only if you exceed an increased ride height of 2.5 inches will you need UCAs. I ran my extended kings for 6 months without ever getting UCAs before I decided to go LT. I would of probably gotten UCAs eventually, but it wasn't a need as I wasn't pushing the geo that much. Extended coils also have more flexibility in a set up with UCAs if you ever want more lift and want to invest further and have better marketability in terms of selling if you ever do.

So, I'd initially planned on going dakars in the rear but the more I read I hear members saying that id you don't plan on towing anything then the dakars are way overkill and will only give you a harsher-than-needed ride.

Any suggestions for a rear spring setup that's better suited for 95% road-time with only the trifold for additional weight?

After being on the truck for a little while the spacer in front is showing more than the one in the rear. And the spacer should measure to 1.56" end to end iirc. Mine look longer to me. I'm waiting on a response from King, sent them this picture.

Did they ever respond to you initially about the spacer being too wide for the mount? That seems sketchy. I would call them and get it fixed or replaced ASAP. I dont think you should have put them in like that in the first place but its too late now.

    Another Newb question:

When ordering Kings, you have to specify if they are for a lift or stock height. How does that work exactly? If you order with a lift, do they send you longer shocks or spacers? What exactly are you getting with the 'lift' version of the shocks?

    Thanks again

Where are you seeing this? If you're talking about the rear shocks from d s m, see posts before you about what that means.

On the D S M website when you go through options for the coil overs. You can select OEM height or lifted for $200. Trying to figure out what the 'lifted' shock is.. Is it just a longer shock?

Rears? Front should just be standard or extended travel (more droop). Rears for lifted applications such as Dakars have a 1" longer bottom mount. Thats all.

Both, but more interested in Front. I understand extended travel calls for LCA's, but I'm not interested in those. Just interested in UCA's with coil overs (2-3") lift. From what I've read, this setup I want does not call for extended / long travel. So what does the lifted option get you if the coil overs are not for long travel?

Do you have a screenshot of the fronts asking if its a lifted application?
