Unless you use square tube gonna need a bender too. But if you have a plasma table you probably have a bender or access to one...

The acetone is optional, self etching primer does well over oil, metal shavings, small bugs and sand. Just make sure the metal isn't wet with water.

You can be #1 for the secret bumper project. If you don't mind me welding on your truck :)

Agree af... I blew it by not using acetone on my front plate bumper. Cleaned it forever and got a few flakey spots here and there

You should use acetone. When you're already in the dark, in the RC parking lot, you just paint em.

So far it's holding up surprisingly well. I was really expecting to be refinishing them.

If it comes to that. They will just go on as is and I'll get them home and sand/paint later

It is why I push so many to go with us for powder coat. It takes an absurd amount of time to prep steel properly for good adhesion and a strong coat of paint. We sandblast, chemically clean, zinc coat primer and coat of powder. It is not going to come off easily, and if you scratch it, dust with spray paint and you are done.

Yeah, this will prevent you from ever using another bumper or IFS skid without some fab work to put factory shit back.

My plan is not exactly bolt on....

It is not easy to find a quality company, I completely understand that one. We've used quite a few companies, finally found one that kicks ass. The only part they suck with is communication and hit commitment dates.

I hear that. But whatever based on my experience I'd rather wait the extra 2 weeks for a good pc then get it back in 3 days half assed

Our company always tells me 4-5 days but usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Not sure. We bought it to get everything designed and when done, sold.

Next will most likely be a new T4R.

I know that feel. Finally got in with an excellent Powder Coat company. Smaller than my last but better quality work.
