Used 2016 Tacoma : WORST used car buy

I mean you could be talking about me. But I still like my truck more than anything else on the market. And I've driven just about every new truck out there due to my job. Grass is always greener on the other side I guess

 

Ok but they're both niche vehicles. Jeeps aren't a completely practical SUV and Tacomas aren't a completely practical truck

Two Smitty99, two TWO! Out of 200,000 all you can do is point to two and claim it is some kind of major fault in the design. You need to just let it go man.

 

There have been at least 4 or 5 that I can recall here.

 

And like the kazoo noise, is a carryover from the 2nd gen. I had both.

My 2008 did not have that Kazoo Noise at all, but for some reason my 15 does, go figure.

 

I would think how concerned you are concerned about issues with the 3rd gen you will just keep your 2nd gen taco.

I don't have the kazoo noise but I do get the clutch creak on warmer days. I had the service dept lube it up at my 5k service but that worked for all of a month before it started creaking again

 

Haha that's BS. Of course operation is normal, but the creaking sound drives me up a wall

I've used spray graphite lube. It works for 3-4 months before I have to reapply it.

 

What did you spray? The return spring?
