Do you guys think my truck looks totaled? The drive side door frame might be bent a tiny bit. Can't tell. I won't be going to the body shop till Monday. Also the whole engine compartment frame might need to be replaced. If it is totaled how much do you think I could get. 2008 4 door v6. It's actually in really good condition except for what happen.

It's hard to say what will happen it depends on a lot of factors like how much the truck is worth vs the cost to repair it, if the frame isn't too bad you might be in luck. Sorry to see your tacoma like this, breaks my heart every time seeing trucks after an accident

It's a 2008. I about had a hard attack. I love this truck so much. I had a lot of pride in it when I first bought it. It's hard to tell with the frame. But the door frame looks a little pushed back.

If no airbag deployment then my guess is it is not totalled and insurance company will fix it.

Mine took similar damage and the repairs were around 10k. I couldn't get out the drivers door, had to crawl out the passenger side.

Yeah I can't get out of the drivers door either. Dang if yours was 10k, then mine might be worse.

When you get the estimates from a couple of body shops the insurance company will let you know if it's totaled. They base fixing a vehicle versus totaling it on a secret formula that I have yet to figure out. Good luck.

OP, from what I can see it looks repairable. It's good the air bags didn't go off. Do you have any steering/suspension damage? If the door doesn't need to be painted that will help too.

It has 110k on it. The door will need a little paint and bent back slightly.

Rule of thumb is if the damage or repair estimate totals to 75% of the vehicle worth then it gets totaled. It all depends on the estimates you get and the adjuster that gets assigned to your case. I have seen vehicles with way less damage sell at auction with a Salvage title but then again I have also seen complete turds get repaired. Its a tose up brother.

Mine looked a lot better as far as visible damage went, but the suspension was bunged up to the tune of $12,545. Still, my 06 got repaired, so good luck!

My insurance valued my 08 with similar mileage at over 20k. Hence why mine was repaired with more than 10k in damages.
