taco long bed or tundra short bed for oof road?

What do you think guys is beeter for off roading? A dble cab long bed toyota tacoma trd sport or a tundra v8 5.7l dble cab or regular cab with short bed? Is the wheelbase is more long on the taco or on the tundra IN THIS CONFIGURATION?

 

Not sure on the wheelbase lengths but....the tundra will sink in the mud MUCH faster than the taco.

 

I was thinking the same thing....the weight difference with that big V8 up front will definately make things a challenge in my opinion

 

Not only that, but the Tundra is MUCH wider than the taco! I'd hate to try fitting one between trees or rocks on narrow trails. Nevermind trying to turn one around.... You have to figure they have larger mirrors, and enough room to fit a laptop between the front passengers.

Really depends on what kind of offroading you do I suppose. A SB would probably be best for avoiding high centering and smallest turn radius, but lifting an LB would help the high centering. Then again, I lifted my SB too so......

 

The Tundra is wider, longer, heavier, and seems to have less ground clearance. Not to mention the lack of availability of a factory locker in the TRD O/R. I have drove the Tundra double cabs and they are HUGE. I would hate to try and navigate one of those on a tight trail. Very nice trucks, but if its for Off Roading I would go with a Taco.
