Toyota change the TRD Pro flares?

Browsing the latest TRD Pro's available, it seems Toyota may have changes the fender flares to color matched ones. Two different dealers have this style pictured, color matches and fake bolt holes like the Tundra flares.
Does anyone know this for sure, or is it just a coincidence.

 

Ask for the sticker on the truck.. dealer installed option their ripping a new butt hole on you for installing.

I'm not into that look.. to much redneck good ol boy in his loud ass chevy look.

 

Southeast Toyota loves putting crap like this on the vehicles at the "port". They probably charge a $2000 up charge for it.

Ripoff. I hate to see how much the dealer wants for those add ons.

 

Which company makes those flares? They don't match the body lines at all. Especially the rear of the flares.

Not a fan, looks like crap IMO. I tend to agree, look 2nd gen to me too, especially the shape of the fronts. If Toyota does go color match, I'd say it will be the same fender flare that's on them now, just painted. The one's in the pic have got to be dealer added, they look rediculus.

 

It's not "ripping off people". They do it because there is a market for it. Nothing illegal about making money. That's why companies exist. And that's also why each and every one of us goes to work every day.

 

I bet you they look worse in person.

There are two separate dealers with this flare shown, both vehicles have just been delivered, that's what made me think maybe it's a Toyota abortion rather than dealer add-on junk.

Click the "options" on the coxtoyota listing and it doesn't show them as an add-on item. But looking in more detail at the coxtoyota pic's it doesn't look like a great paint match, so hopefully this is just dealer junk.
