    As @goblue82 and I have discussed minimally, I'm wanting to set up a very small 4-5 day trip to the Sierras for some light wheeling, hiking, fishing, and beautiful scenery. No more than 6 rigs will be allowed. I've never been up there and just want it to be nice and relaxing.

    This will serve as a general input for date ranges, places to explore, things to do, etc. from those I have camped and wheeled with in the past and I know are good people to bring along and won't cause any issues and make it another great trip.

    Don't feel bad if I don't tag you, it's probably because I haven't gone on any trips with you yet, or you're just an asshole (@dtaco06). If i haven't personally met you, I'm probably not inviting you, sorry.

    If you're just stumbling across this thread, feel free to post any pictures you've taken, trails to run, hikes to do, and any general information that would be useful.

    @uhplifted
    Is this going to be technical 4x4 trails, or mildly difficult (aka a tug here and there) to get us to some great views/camping/fishing spots? I want to go, but if it'll end up being that Madison or my truck just being a nuisance then I'll opt out.

    I haven't found any place where 4x4 to be mandatory up there. Even Coyote Flats doesn't actually require 4x4. Dustin aka @Dangerousd1987 and Tom aka @Airdog got through the back way to los angeles mine just fine with some good skinny pedal. Coyte flats isn't as difficult in comparison. Hell, I'm down to camp at Twin Lakes, Mammoth and I'll show you all some easy peazy trails including hot springs.

    Also, I do everything in 2wd until I absolutely can't. I like to leave myself an out. Ran JT in 2wd myself last time. Ok, I kicked it into 4wd once in order to conquer the hill I couldnt get up the previous time in Berdoo. Successful this time

    What Greg said above. I'm not looking to do any heavy wheeling this trip, if any at all other than to get to campgrounds. I want to do some hiking and fishing and just having a good time. Not looking to spend much time in the truck other than to sleep.

    :thumbsup: No skinny pedal fear, just would hate to hold the group up because I'm getting stuck haha. Sounds like it won't be a problem.

    110% in for this, sounds like my kinda trip! Now to start getting tackle and gear

    I'm hoping only to have about 4 rigs, 6 will be the absolute most I'll allow. So even if we do have to tug you or Mad Dawg it won't be a big hold up. But I hope to not even have to worry about that.

    I'll be doing research on fishing gear. I've got a nice reel but no rod (heh) and no tackle. It'll be a fun trip for sure!
