Same as the 16. Think your mind is playing tricks on you unless you have the tech/premium pack with the auto climate control, etc.

Yeah, I got the tech package. I really like the manual selector for choosing which air vents blow air, though. On mine, you change that setting it messes with the auto feature and is a pain to get working again.

    Nice rig OP!

I was wondering if you had the TSB performed on your truck. I watched your video this morning and decided to do exactly like you did in your video. I was on very level ground, had a 5 to 10 mph head wind like you. Set my cruise on 77 mph and my truck held 6th gear and was running at 1900 rpms. I let it run like that for approx. 2 miles and nothing changed stayed in 6th gear and 1900 rpms.

And 1st gen AT>3rd gen AT. After all it was used behind a 2JZ-GTE and the 3rd gen auto can't even handle a van motors power.

Yes I did. If I was going the other direction with the wind I would have zero complaints. Not sure where you're from but here in the wide open midwest the wind is always blowing and everytime I got on the interstate I just hated this truck. I can control the shifts much better when not using cruise but I'm one of those people that loves cruise control.

All I can say with the 6MT is give it some time and break it in slow.

I loved it when I bought it, but was annoyed occasionally by what I felt was a very tricky clutch. After 5k miles it is really coming into its own and the motor is winding up much smoother.

It takes higher revs to do what my 4.0 did torque wise, but the lower gearing on the manual makes for some awesome around town mpg numbers and plenty of passing and climbing power.

    Enjoy the truck!

Did you notice any significant change in your MPG between new and 5k miles?

I doubt it would change much, are you doing OK on MPGs now?

Nope, still gets the same. Tank averageso between 20-22. Had one bad tank average around 18. Think I got bad fuel.

Man, my 4 banger with 35's and stock gearing pulls 10x better than that.

I never have it over 3,500
