I was told it was a 3 inch leveling kit...i forgot what brand. If its an issue with that then the dealership needs to fix it its under their warranty since they installed it.

Is there a separate warranty agreement/contract or paperwork the dealership provided you specifically for the aftermarket components they installed? Obviously Toyota corporate isn't going to pay for those repairs and adjustments when needed so the dealer is coming out of pocket for that. Always curious to see how they word this extra warranty and I'd be curious to know the coverage they offered you. I'm guessing it's limited to some degree (miles/years or some combo of both)

The good news is that those are the stock UCAs so they're going to be installed correctly.

The bad news is that you need aftermarket UCAs for lift > 2" up front, so either your truck isn't aligned properly, or you don't have the 3" of lift that they advertised to you. And damn, that's some serious damage. I'd push for a full replacement of both the springs and the UCAs (in addition to fixing the problem).

It really sounds like you're dealing with people that don't have a clue of what they're doing.

Expect a serious fight on your hands. Replacing UCAs is a pain in the ass, labour-intensive job that they will have to cover out of their own pocket since Toyota Corporate will not warranty a lift. They will fight tooth and nail to not do it.

My gut feeling is that even if they agree to replace the UCAs and springs, you'll end up in the exact same situation with the exact same problem. They either need to install proper, aftermarket UCAs, or decrease the amount of lift.

If you want to maintain the amount of lift, after you get them to agree to an UCA swap, ask them how much those UCAs cost. Then offer to buy proper, aftermarket UCAs, and have them refund you the cost of the OEM UCAs. Their expense will be the same, but you'll end up with proper UCAs and (hopefully) no more issues for only a couple hundred bucks out of pocket. Of course, the "right" thing would be for them to cover the entire cost of aftermarket UCAs to give you the advertised 3" lift and no problems, but good luck with getting them to do that.

Mine is doing the exact same thing at full lock turning right. Clunking/metal bang noise. I have 887 coils and 5100 shocks with Light Racing UCAs. Wondering if its just my alignment?

had my wife turn it at full lock and I watched everything carefully, can't figure out what it is. My springs do not have wear like yours.

They Gave me 35k for the red one negative equity of 2k(which is not bad) got the OR Out the door price at 39k with taxes included and paperwork. They couldn't "replicate the issue" with the clunk noises when put in reverse or drive, even though i had videos of the clunk on my phone they did not honor that
The clunk on the suspension was due to loose bolts on the strut SMH......BUT apparently there has been several issues like that already where Toyota already had case number for that issue
they gave me the case number BUT parts are out of stock and there was no ETA....they were going to replace the strut and mounts.

So pretty much i said F this let me see what deal i can work to trade in my truck after 2 days of negotiating we finally came close to what i was asking as monthly payment.
