So guys, my brother started smoking... Any ideas on how to get him to quit

started. about a week ago, smokes 1 a day, or I guess he attempts to keep it to 1 a day. my dad smokes a pack a day, Im not sure how he brought himself to try it after watching my dad smoke his whole life

 

If he legit smokes 1 a day he doesn't smoke and could / should stop now. However, he's likely lying to you and smokes a pack a day and says he smokes 1 a day so he can smoke around you and not hear bitching about it.

I smoked for over 20 years. Quit 18 years ago.
I now have asthma and get bronchitis/pneumonia every year.

I have to live longer than my wife so I can get her life insurance money and live the good life.

But she'll outlive me cuz I was a former long term smoker.

he hasn't smoked around me yet actually, and he's only 17 so he can't buy them himself, someone from work is hooking him up (works at a quick chek) I believe him when he says 1 a day cuz he just started but Its gonna get to a lot more real quick..

I did his taxes and said Im withholding his $600 return until he stops

hey if you wanna come over and beat him I won't stop you, Im not a very big guy lol. He also got into chew earlier this year too, I don't know how often he still does that but braces might've stopped him. Its like he's got a death wish or something, how can he bring himself to try a cigarette someone offered up? Ive been offered cigs multiple times, was a pretty easy no... Just don't understand this kid...

My dad was very sick in the hospital a bunch of years ago, and I somehow felt the need to tell him the shit I did when I was a kid.

I whispered in his ear that I secretly smoked since I was 14 and that a siphoned gas from his Scout II every week.

He said he knew.

 

Not to sound too "Sussex" but if you get horse hair like the longer stuff from the tail or mane and stick some in his cigs so it can't be seen the when he smokes them he will get sick as hell and likely never want to smoke again

Tell him he's selfish and to think about what it could do to you and your mom. My brother And my mom are the main reasons I want to quit. Gf dad died of cancer Last year. Never want my mom or brother to see me like that
