4wd.com ordering experience?

Has anyone ordered tires from https://www.4wd.com/ ?

I'm looking at getting some 255/85r16 BFG KM2s and this site offered them for wayyyy cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

Makes me a bit apprehensive. Anyone have good/bad experiences with them?

 

They are the parent company of 4wheelparts. I bought my ko2s from them a month ago. Got the tires in real fast, but still waiting for the $50 promo gift card.

 

I had to call twice for my promo card. They will tell you that it was shipped but don't buy it. The second time I called they gave me the card # over the phone after I asked to speak to a supervisor

 

Thanks for the heads up. About how many days after you got your order did you call in for the gift card?

 

I waited a month before the first call then two weeks after that for the second call

 

I will give them their "4-6 weeks" then.

 

I may have waited longer cause it was well past their allotted time.

 

I've emailed them 3 times and got one response. I'll give them a call as soon as the 6th week goes by.

 

I ordered KO2sbecause the website said in stock. Got an email a week later that said they are out of stock. Website says still in stock. Not to happy right now. Been two weeks since the order.

 

Ordered my KM2s from them a year or so ago. Got scared after ordering and seeing some reviews about them and people having problems. But I didn't have the first issue and recieved my tires fairly quickly, if I remember right it was less than a couple weeks from ordering to receiving them

For you guys who ordered tires: did the actual tires you received appear old or like they had been sitting on the shelf forever?

 

Mine were brand new, but KM2s were fairly new out at that point also

 

I'd love to give this website a shot when I get my tires, but I can literally get 5 KM2s from them for the price of 4 everywhere else I've looked. There is a little voice in my head saying something is wrong with this picture.

 

I guess ultimately it's totally up to you. I've purchased from them once without issue but others have had issues. Use a good credit card or PayPal to be able to dispute if needed

 

Canceled my order earlier this week. Still no return on my credit card. Customer service rep didn't give two shits when I mentioned communication could be better regarding their backlog. They are going on my black list for awhile.

 

Sounds like a crappy website. I'll be avoiding them.
