I have been looking at the Bakflip and the Encore but cant stomach spending almost $1k on a tonneau. Is anyone running an inexpensive tonneau that will work well enough and looks decent?

Tyger gets good reviews on Amazon. Tri fold, under $200, comes with a light.

I dont like to look of the stock one. It looks like it lets alot of water in and doesnt look to seal too well. Plus, dealers want alot of money for them so i wouldnt call that cheap.

It doesn't let any water in (I live in Louisiana, lots of rain). And it's very very heavy duty. The plastic is really thick and feels very well made. A lot of owners of it on here said the same.

I bought the Tyger off Amazon and really like it so far. Seals well and lays pretty flat for a soft tonneau.

OEM, can't beat it for the price.

    Find a used one. They're generally $4-500.

I've got the Gator Tri Fold..... Keeps stuff dry, but you could cut into it with a knife. My thought is if someone is going to spend the time to cut into the tonneau just to look around, it probably wouldn't keep them out of a hard cover tonneau. I got the cheapie as I will eventually stick a cap on the truck.

For ~$250 I'm pretty happy with it. Keeps stuff dry, out of sight, and reasonably secure.

Gator FX5, low profile, looks good and as waterproof as a cover can be.

I agree. I looked at all the hard flip ones and they are still pretty easy to get into if the thief knows what they are doing.

I ended up getting a tonnopro soft tri-fold for $249 with a $50 rebate...So really $199. Also comes with the tailgate seal, light and cleaner as "free" gift. Can't beat that.
