    Post pics when you do! There was a sweet caged bronco on craigslist with a bad motor, I was so tempted to pick it up and save up to have an lq9 dropped in lol. I think I have the bug too but need something more dd'able for now. Never get out to the desert with the truck or the bikes. Rode my dirt bike twice this season and its still sitting in the garage waiting for a new radiator after the last wreck lol

    I'm having deceleration grinding noise and I'm sure it's coming from the rear end. My driveshaft was never modified after installing the SUA kit & Re geared a year ago.
    Any ideas what could it be?

    How bad is the driveshaft plunging into the carrier bearing at full droop?

    No idea... I took this video of the carrier bearing. I also have minimal up/down play on the driveshaft at the 3rd member, when the the wheels are off the ground.

    You would probably not have any play in the driveshaft at full droop as it will be jammed into the carrier bearing making it bulge. I'd recommend having a reputable shop like dmz check it out and make sure you aren't screwing anything up at full droop. I've yet to see a prerunner driveshaft that didn't need to be modified with a giant or dmz kit. I guess the shop could of strapped everything short of that, but then you'd be sacrificing performance over a $250 trip to the driveshaft shop.

    Did I set this up right? It says with new 4.56 gears and 295/75/16 tires at 3k rpms ill be going 77? My speedo was reading like 60 at 3k rpms lol

    too small for me too see..

    but what my experience with this calc is that it is only half true.

    It was totally dead on with its RPMs and speed calcs according to my truck. So for instance, it said at 3000rpms id be doing 70mph. It was right when i looked at my truck gauges.

    However..

    I was actually doing 64mph via GPS. Because my speedo doesn't correct for tire size and all that.

    To actually go 70mph i was at 3300rpm.

    Now, with the 2nd gens, i think you have a correction speedo, so that is why your speedo will show the actual speed and now that calculated speed....if that makes sense.

    It does not? Correction speedo? Unsure what you're saying. I have a 4x4 Manual trans, if that helps. Got Waze on my phone just now, gonna use it when i go home tonigjt to see if it will give me a vague idea of how fast im going

    I thought 2nd gens had a speedo that corrected for tire size..but that may be just the auto.

    In which case, you're in the same boat as me, you could be traveling slower then you think you really are. GPS will tell you.

    I dont recall my auto doing that either lol. But yeah, cruising home in the slow lane last night, thought I was going about 60-65, but cars are barely passing me and I'm passing most semis which usually go 60-65, I was so confused lol

    My second gen auto is very far off with my 37s. Speedo is ran off the rear axle on the auto and tcase on the manuals from what I have read. It does not automatically correct, I am about to buy the hypertech part needed to correct the gauge.

    Yeah I was looking at the hypertech, but does it take in to account final gear ratios as well or just tire size changes?

    It disrupts and modifies the signal from where ever the speedo is getting its info so it will always read correctly if you adjust it the correct percentage.
    Same thing jeep guys do.
