Indeed. One bolt and that's it.

 

the cover is snapped in. Just use a small screwdriver and pry it off and up. Then remove the the inside cover with the torx bit.

 

Thanks man,got the 2.7, so no cover on mine like I see on v6. Just wasn't sure how easy it was to open the unit up.

 

NP. Pretty darn easy. Hardest part is snapping off that cover thingy on the end.

 

Have you checked the clearance between the one piece shaft and the cross member where the carrier bearing used to be? I want to go the single piece route too, but have read conflicting opinions about interference when the rear suspension bottoms out. At least one guy cut out his cross member without adding any additional structure back...don't think that's a good idea.

 

They are super fricken tiny. Not your run of the mill plcc-2, but smaller. I burnt out an LED just fucking around with the circuit when I swapped out to the black steering controls, was going to source a new LED but never figured out the size. I've found some look alikes based on the rear markings and such and size-wise but never experimented to see if I was correct.

They are flush mounted also so they solder in from the rear of the board and the LED sits in a recessed hole.

 

Finally received the correct Bolt hitch pin lock that allows me to use the ignition key.

 

Had to take off every mod on my truck to pass an out of province inspection because i moved. Was really weird to roll stuck but now i see it as a fresh start

You inspired me to finally put my Wheelers front Superbump stops on today. I will be going with the All Pro U bolt flip kit and Wheelers Superbumps for the rear as well, but I haven't ordered them yet.

I ordered the secondary air pump filter. When I went to change it I realized the plastic shroud that is supposed to cover the entire assembly is missing. Do I need that? Or, can I run the filter uncovered? Should I order it from Toyota? Any advice appreciated.

 

I don't think you really need it, probably just helps from debris and water getting to your filter. I haven't been running the plastic shroud since I did this mod about 4 months ago and haven't any problems.

 

I have a 2015,2.7l,no cover on mine,just the pump.I would not worry,unless OCD

 

2012's didnt come with the cover.
